A remedy for thrush with 90% effectiveness!
Usually, women are embarrassed to talk about this problem, and absolutely in vain! Candidiasis is not always associated with promiscuous sexual life or insufficient level of intimate hygiene. Although if the disease has occurred — treatment of the sexual partner is also mandatory.
What are the symptoms of candidal vulvovaginitis? The most characteristic symptom is, of course, curd-like white discharge. That’s why the disease got its popular name — thrush. In the area of the external genital organs, there is itching, burning, redness, and swelling. Urination is also accompanied by pain and burning.
Let’s figure out how candidiasis occurs. Spores of Candida fungi are widely spread around us, but normally the immune system and local microflora are able to suppress their growth in the body. For example, the intestine, oral cavity, and vagina are populated by their own species of bacteria, which have adapted to such living conditions. The cohabitation of a person and normal microflora is mutually beneficial. Bacteria have a home, and a person gets additional protection — friendly bacteria defend the body from harmful alien microbes. But sometimes there is a split in this union.
For example, if a woman takes antibiotics — this is a potential threat to her vaginal microflora. Antibiotics do not know which bacteria are friends and which are enemies. Therefore, they kill everyone indiscriminately. As a result, the vaginal microflora is disrupted and the microorganisms that inhabited it die. A holy place is never empty — the fungus takes advantage of the opportunity, infects the vagina and immediately begins to multiply. Thrush begins.
The second variant of the disease development is strong immune suppression, under which it cannot cope with the fungal infection. This can happen due to:
severe diseaseoncology and chemotherapyHIV infectionmedications
Also, excessive moisture around the genitals increases the risk of infection. In such conditions, the fungus multiplies faster, the warmth of the human body additionally accelerates this process. The skin and mucous membranes become loose (remember your fingers after a hot bath), which facilitates the attachment of fungi. Such conditions are created when:
wearing tight synthetic underwear that does not absorb moistureexcessive sweatingusing pads
Fungi firmly «stick» to the mucous membrane of the vagina, as they release special outgrowths — hyphae between human cells. These structures help the fungus to feed and stay on the surface.
Treatment of candidiasisWe strongly recommend you to see a doctor and establish an accurate diagnosis. This is important because infections of the urinary system in women can affect the course of future pregnancy. If you have decided to self-medicate — do it correctly. Be sure to study the instructions before using the drugs.
According to the recommendations of 2018 from the International Union against Sexually Transmitted Infections at WHO, for the treatment of candidiasis, local and systemic drugs are used.
For local treatment, a vaginal tablet containing 500 mg of clotrimazole should be used once, or 3 days at 200 mg per day.
For systemic treatment, fluconazole 150 mg is used once, or itraconazole 200 mg twice a day for 1 day.
This group is called azoles, if you noticed, all 3 names of drugs have such an ending. Treatment with azoles in 80-90% of cases leads to relief of symptoms. They have a common mechanism of action, blocking an important enzyme of the fungal cell — Cytochrome P450. As a result, the formation of components of the cell wall of candida and an increase in its permeability is disrupted. In the end, the fungal cell bursts.
These drugs are available in every pharmacy, have a low cost and high efficiency. By the way, we previously wrote about how to save health, money, and nerves in the pharmacy. We recommend reading!
